A walk around the Alhambra, declared a World Heritage by UNESCO, is a required activity for every visitor of the city of Granada. What we propose to you is to transform your visit to Granada in to an extraordinary experience rich of knowledge.
With our guided tour of Alhambra, you’ll have at your disposal one of our official tourist guides, expert interpreters of Granada’s heritage, who will guide you through every part that forms the “red fortress”, who will also answer any queries that you may have about this spectacular monument.
Tour’s itinerary:
-The Alcazaba fortress: the most antique area of the Alhambra’s complex. In the past it was a military precincts
-Nasrid Palaces: including many rooms, enhancing the Palace of Mexuar, Palace of Comares and Palace of Leones, considerate this one like the maximum exponent of Nasrid art
-The Generalife: sultan’s summer palace, situated at East of the Alhambra and surrounded by wide gardens filled with a great variety of vegetation, framed by a beautiful Islamic landscape
The visit order of the different areas will be determined by the hour of entrance for the Nasrid Palaces. On occasion the Alhambra Trust may alter the order of the visit and restrict access to certain areas
A hallmark of Granada’s Moorish tradition is its use of water – fountains, pools, trickling streams, and of course the Baños Árabes (Arabic baths). Although it might not reach quite the glorious heights of the Sultan’s own bath, Granada’s Hammam is still a great way to relax after a tough day on the tapas. A soothing color scheme in yellow and blue, the waft of essential oils, chunky adobe pillars and tree pools with different temperatures will put you in a heavenly state of calm. If any stress lingers, choose some scented oils and treat yourself to an optional massage.
