Descripción general
Immerse yourself into the marvelous examples of street art in Berlin.
Berlin definitely is the mecca for street art lovers. Huge blind walls serve as canvas for impressive wall paintings, and Graffitis, stencils, pastings and urban art fill up the city's streets.
In the 80s, the Berlin Wall was probably the biggest canvas in the world for graffitis and paintings, followed by the 90s with amazing abandoned places in the city centre which were conquered by any kind of street and urban art.
Since the start of the 21st century, the festivals Planet Process and Backjumps have provided the Street Art artists with the first official walls. Artists like Blu, Roa, Vhils, Os Gêmeos and Victor Ash converted the streets into a posh gallery.
Today, districts such as Wedding and Tegel are also engaged to upgrade their residential areas with large murals. At the same time, companies use street art for their advertising campaigns. With this tour we offer an insight view into the scene and the development of street art. We show the facets of the styles, but we also put an eye on the conflict between street art, legality and gentrification. Join us to discover the gorgeous world of street art!
